Customer Success Story: ENFORCER® Padlock Prevents Trailer Theft
A national electronics distributor, and longtime ENFORCER® customer, recently avoided a major cargo theft thanks to the strength and reliability of our ABLOY® ENFORCER® padlocks.
During an overnight stop at an unsecured lot, thieves attempted to force entry into one of their fully loaded trailers. The attack targeted the rear swing doors, but the ENFORCER® padlock’s hardened steel body, case-hardened boron shackle, and disc-lock mechanism resisted cutting and prying attempts.
Security footage showed the would-be thieves abandoning their efforts after several minutes, unable to breach the lock. The result: a full shipment of high-value electronics – worth over $250,000 – remained untouched, saving the company from a significant financial loss, delivery delays, and potential customer trust issues.
